Catching up!

Making amigurumi is my forte and I rarely make anything other than that. So when i got a request for a baby set, i had no clue where to start. With a little help and suggestions from my fellow crocheting friends, i was successfully able to make my first crochet baby set.
The base for the above baby shoe was made using Croby patterns . I have added a little bear applique for a cute look.

I also made this bear lovey as a part of the set and happy with the way it turned out.

There are some days when all i wanna do is crochet and some days i feel like not picking up the hook at all. I constantly waver between these two state of mind. I journal occasionally during those times. Most of the pages in my journal are incomplete but a fully written or designed journal page (even if it's just a single page) makes me so happy. Here's a spread for this month in my journal.

I'm trying to concentrate more on pattern designing this year and wish to publish more patterns in my Etsy shop. I recently published a new bunny pattern. You can get this and all other patterns for 20% discount from my Etsy shop till the end of August.

It's been 5 month since the first lock down due to COVID was implemented in our country. With growing number of cases each day, i doubt this lock down will be over soon. Guess we have to adjust to the new normal now. How's the situation in your place. Stay safe everyone wherever you are :)

Bullet journal: June

Hello lovely people! The monsoon season has started here and we've been getting some decent rainfall lately. The weather is nice and cold which makes me wanna stay in bed and read a good book whereas my little girl hates being confined inside and wants to go out and play. Finally we both would settle to sit nearby the windows and relish watching the rain drops forming ripples in the puddle and the soft rain drenched surroundings. How is it out there? I guess it's the start of summer in most part of the world. Are you guys enjoying the summer so far?

Here's a peek into this month in my bullet journal. I try to squeeze in journal and crafting in the little time i have after my daughter sleeps. So i use lots of pictures and washi tapes to decorate. I did managed to draw a little here and there.

How do you guys prefer to decorate your journals? I love little adding sketches and quotes. I mostly use color pencils but would like to try on watercolors. Which medium do you prefer to use on journals/ sketchbooks?

Hope you guys enjoyed a little peek into my journal. Wishing you all a happy summer!

Bullet journal: May

Hello friends. After two months hiatus, I have so much catching up to do both in crafting and journaling. While i'm yet to take my crocheting hooks and yarn, i did manage to journal a few pages in my bullet journal this month.

Here's a little peek into my May journal pages.

I love adding quotes and hope this journal will help me in improving my calligraphy skills.

I also love drawing in my journaling pages..

I'm really enjoying the process of journaling and like the fact that this single note serves as multipurpose use. Have a creative day!

Bullet journaling march

Hello lovelies! March is almost over and i haven't posted for a while. I've been preparing for Teacher's eligibility test and so there wasn't much time for crafting. Here is a little peek inside my march month bullet journal page.

I love drawing illustrations and doodling with bits of quotes here and there in my page.

Instead of habit tracker, i've added a weekly task list and colored them once the task is finished.

Hope you like this little page. Will come up with a new amigurumi project in my next post. Have a productive week :)

Bullet journaling

I really love the idea of keeping a journal. Be it a simple journal full of texts or artsy one with lots of pictures and drawings, a journal is a way to record our memories, keeping track of events, and serves as an outlet to our inner thoughts.
Last year i tried fauxbonichi method of journaling. I also used it as a place to write down some lists, important things to remember but i had difficulty finding those important pages when i needed to have a look at it in a hurry.
Although last year journal wasn't a complete success, i'm happy that i tried at the least. This year i wanted to resume my journaling with a few changes and that's when i came across bullet journal. Basically it's a blank journal and you can customize it according to your likes. That's the beauty of it. Bullet journal is a system introduced by Ryder Carroll and you can see the details about it here

You can use any type of notebook but most prefer using Leuchttrum 1917 dot gridded notebook. Since i'm trying this out newly i opted for a much cheaper one with a good quality paper.
One of the important thing to write down in bullet journal is an index. Number all the pages before you start so that you can enter the content and the page where it is in the index. I find this so handy in case i want to search for any specific page. Most write down their intentions/word of the year in their journal. I chose 'Take chances' as my motto of this year as i really wanted to have the courage to say yes when provided with opportunity rather than saying no without even giving it a try and regret it later.

Another important page is calendar, It's easy to write down important events, appointments when you have a calendar in the front pages of your journal

Here are some of my weekly spreads

At the start of each month, i write down events, goals and tasks to do in that specific month. It's easy to have a glance at all of it in one place.

I do try to be creative sometimes and dab in a bit of quotes, pictures and doodles.

So this is how my bullet journal looks so far. You can create some specific pages that you want to keep track of like books to read, movies to watch, places to go and the list is endless. More of those in my next bullet journal post. You can get lots of inspiration for bullet journaling from instagram and pinterest. There is only one important thing to remember, don't get intimidated by those beautiful journal pages and try to compete with it. Each of us have our own styles and your journal should bring out your uniqueness. Have a fantastic day friends!
