Crochet Rose free pattern

Hello everyone! Valentine's day is just around the corner, so let's make some beautiful crochet roses to celebrate. Roses have long been a symbol of love. These crochet roses are easy to make and unlike real roses, they always stay fresh. They are similar to the succulent I made before but with a few little changes. Read below for instructions.

Please Note: The pattern and images contained in this post is the sole property of  'A little love everyday'. Please don't redistribute this pattern or copy in any other page. You may sell the finished product but kindly credit me as the designer and link back to this page.

Materials needed:

  • Yarn in your preferred colour.
  • Crochet hook according to the size of your yarn.
  • Tapestry needle.

This pattern is written in US English terms.

Stitches used:

  • Ch - chain.
  • Sc - single crochet.
  • Sl st - slip stitch.
  • Dc - double crochet.
  • [..] - repeat the instructions given in between the brackets.

Instructions:

Chain in multiple of 3 +5. I have chained 60+5 (65) for this tutorial.

R1: dc in 5th chain from hook, ch 2, dc in the same ch space, then

[ch  1, skip two chain, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next ch] x 20 .

R2: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), turn your work, 5 dc in the same space, 1 sc in next ch space,

[6 dc in next, 1 sc in next] x 20.

( We basically make 6 dc in the ch 2 space between double crochets of previous row and sc in ch 1 space of the previous row).

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Now we will have 21 petals made.

Start rolling from one end and try to keep the bottom aligned. Then sew them in place with the remaining yarn tail using tapestry needle.

And your rose is now ready! You can make them bigger or smaller by increasing or decreasing the chains. The green rose below is made with 45+5 chains.

You can turn them into bookmarks, hairclip for little girls or make a wall hanging. The possibilities are endless.

I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial.  Do tag me or share your makes in Instagram using #littleloveeveryday. Also check out Amigurumi elephant and frog pattern as they would make a lovely gift for valentine's day. Have a lovely day friends ! Hugs :)
